Cookie Policy
EU-style cookie notice for the LCA Institut website
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how LCA Institut uses cookies and similar technologies on its website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. A cookie is a small text file or similar identifier stored on, or accessed from, your device when you visit a website.
1. Why we use cookies
Cookies may be used to make the website function securely, remember user choices, understand how visitors use the site, measure website and campaign performance, and support embedded or third-party services. We aim to use only the technologies reasonably necessary for these purposes and to provide users with meaningful control.
2. Cookie categories
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
| Strictly necessary | Security, core website operation, form/session functions and saving privacy choices. | Used where necessary for the requested service. |
| Preferences | Remember settings such as language or interface choices. | Used with consent where required. |
| Analytics | Understand visits, page use, device types, traffic sources and website performance. | Non-essential analytics are activated only after required consent. |
| Marketing | Measure advertising performance or support remarketing where such tools are enabled. | Activated only after consent where required. |
| Third-party / embedded | Support embedded maps, video, scheduling, social or other external features. | May require consent before the third-party content loads. |
3. Your consent and Cookie Settings
When required, non-essential cookies and similar technologies are not activated until you make a choice through the cookie banner or consent tool. You can accept, reject or manage categories separately, and you can withdraw or change your consent later through the Cookie Settings link. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
4. Third-party services
The website may use third-party technologies for services such as analytics, advertising measurement, maps, videos, calendar or booking functions, security and social-media content. Depending on the final website configuration, examples may include services from Google or other technology providers. These providers may set or access their own cookies and may process data under their own privacy terms. Where consent is required, such services should remain blocked until the relevant consent is given.
5. Cookie duration
Some cookies are session cookies and expire when the browser is closed. Others remain for a defined period so that a preference or measurement can be recognised on a later visit. The website’s consent-management interface should display the current cookie/provider name, purpose and duration for active non-essential technologies. We periodically review the cookie inventory and remove cookies that are no longer needed.
6. Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to delete or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website from functioning correctly. Browser controls are separate from the website’s Cookie Settings and may need to be configured on each device or browser you use.
7. Personal data and international transfers
Where cookie or analytics information identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual, it is handled as personal data under our Privacy Policy. If an approved provider processes data outside Serbia or the European Economic Area, applicable transfer safeguards should be used where required.
8. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Policy when website technologies, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes to consent-dependent technologies should also be reflected in the cookie banner or consent-management tool.
