Terms & Conditions

Website terms of use for LCA Institut sustainability consulting and CBAM software information

Last updated: 8 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the LCA Institut website. By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. These website Terms do not replace a signed proposal, statement of work, software licence, order form or other contract agreed with a client.

1. About this website

LCA Institut is a Serbia-based provider of sustainability and environmental-compliance support, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) preparation, product carbon footprint work, CBAM reporting support, Digital Product Passport readiness and related advisory services. The website also presents information about the CBAM Reporter software.

2. General information — not a substitute for project-specific advice

Website content is provided for general business and informational purposes. Environmental standards, product-category rules, CBAM requirements, verification procedures and EU regulatory requirements may change or depend on the product, market, reporting period and factual circumstances. You should not rely on website content alone as a final legal, regulatory, technical or certification determination.

3. Services, EPD verification and software

Any consulting engagement is subject to a separate written scope, commercial terms and client responsibilities. Where independent verification, programme registration or publication is required, the relevant third-party verifier or programme operator retains its own decision-making authority. Unless expressly agreed in writing, LCA Institut does not guarantee a particular verification outcome, regulatory acceptance, tender award, commercial result or market-access decision.

Access to or use of CBAM Reporter may be subject to separate software, subscription, licence, support and data-processing terms. Calculations and reports depend on the completeness and accuracy of user-supplied data and on the applicable rules at the relevant time. Users remain responsible for reviewing inputs and submissions before filing or relying on them.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with security or functionality, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy substantial content without permission, impersonate another person, or use forms and upload functions to transmit unlawful, infringing or harmful material.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website design, text, graphics, methodologies, documents, branding and other original materials are owned by or licensed to LCA Institut and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view or download materials for legitimate internal business evaluation, but you may not reproduce, sell, publish or create derivative commercial materials without permission.

6. Information and documents you submit

If you send project information or product documents, you confirm that you are authorised to provide them and that their submission does not violate third-party rights or confidentiality obligations. Submission through the website does not by itself create a consulting engagement. We will handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. External links and website availability

The website may contain links to external organisations, standards bodies, EPD libraries, regulatory sources, clients or other third-party websites. Links are provided for convenience and do not make LCA Institut responsible for third-party content, availability or privacy practices. We may modify, suspend or discontinue website features without notice.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LCA Institut is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from use of, or inability to use, the public website or general website information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Liability relating to paid services or software is governed primarily by the applicable client or licence agreement.

9. Governing law and changes

These website Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without prejudice to mandatory rights that may apply under other applicable law. Unless mandatory rules require otherwise, disputes relating solely to these website Terms will be subject to the competent courts in Belgrade, Serbia. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after publication of a revised version means the revised Terms apply from their stated effective date.
